Fire fighting

Cannot believe that one category event can make all the things in fire.
Supplier la, courier serivces, CS team la, US la...
I thought eventhing done last Friday.
I told myself, everything is done. The event will kick off tomorrow...
Then a big drama happened. One big parcel got stucked in custom for 5 days and it was not discovered until today. If we leave it as it was, the majority of merchandise in the event would be abesnt. As if an atomic bomb was thrown to me.. Eng a~ dust to dust... aches to aches
My CS in Singapore almost cried at the moment I called...
He said, I paid so much attention to arrange that shipment but why this still can heppen?
I had the same question to my head but I still needed to confort him...
Its ok, we know your hardwork behind. You wont die...
Then the rescure action started from 10am today until 9pm today.
Get the custom cleared asap... if that cannot be done what is the other options? Think think!
We put our head together. Think think!
We got options but no one want to bare the cost...
Just like what the logistic manager said when he heard the case... money can solve most of the problem, but who is going to pay?
Then discussion, negotiations and actions all in progress.
At 9:30pm... settled.
In total, 10 persons' wisdom were involved. And we spent 50 working hours.
Now we get all the merchandise to be presented to those directors and managers tomorrow.
When they pick up a mug tomorrow and have a close look to it, can they see the hard work behind from my team?
Tomorrow, I need to write every person a thank you card. They made my day!
